1. DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROLLER
The purpose of the AV0026 system is to cool the refrigerant used in booster racks with CO
cooler outlet to a temperature dependant on the operating conditions in the discharge line, i.e. the
discharge pressure and temperature at a given point. Cooling is achieved by the expansion of part of
the coolant in the gas cooler return.
Compared to a booster rack with parallel compression, this requires an additional expansion system and
another compressor rack, as well as heat exchange systems.
