11 TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
First use with water tank: pump
noise - the boilers are not filled
The machine is switched on, but
the machine does not work.
Little or no crema on the top of
the coffee
Translation of the original German user manual
Possible Cause
The system is completely dry, the
pump cannot deliver the water.
The orange signal lamp is
switched off, there is not enough
water in the water tank.
Water was refilled, the orange
control lamp is switched off.
The water tank is not fixed
properly.
Machine in use with direct water
connection, but switch in
position "0" (=position water
tank). Machine does not take in
water.
The grind is not fine enough
The coffee is too old.
There is too much chlorine in the
water.
The amount of ground coffee is
not enough.
The shower screen is dirty.
Troubleshooting
Connect the machine to the water
supply for initial filling (see
chapter 5.2) to fill the boilers with
the line pressure.
Refill water.
Switch on/off the machine.
Make sure that the floater in the
water tank is in the correct
position. (The side of the floater
with the magnet point must face
towards the inside of the
machine. The floater itself must
be inserted with the magnet point
on the lower part of the floater.)
Fix the water tank properly.
Switch to position "1" (=position
direct water connection).
Use a finer grind.
Tamp the ground coffee more
firmly.
Reduce the brewing pressure.
Use fresh coffee
Use a chlorine filter.
Use the right coffee amount:
Approx. 7 g of coffee for each
cup.
Clean the brew group.
