Careless handling, i.e. using the pad while it is bent or folded,
using the pad without the original cover, applying pressure
to the pad (e.g. by sitting on it) and pulling or twisting the
power cord may damage the heating pad.
•
CAUTION! In the case of any irregularities, pull the power
plug immediately!
•
Do not place heavy objects on the pad and never store it
with sharp creases. Otherwise the pad may be damaged.
•
Do not insert pins or any sharp objects into the heating pad.
•
This appliance should always be examined before use for
any signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or
if the appliance has been misused, please contact the
manufacturer or authorised agent prior to any further use.
•
The switch may grow hot during operation and must
therefore not be covered or placed on the heating pad.
•
If you do not intend to use the heating pad immediately, we
recommend that you store the pad in a cool, dry place. Do
not fold the pad.
•
When not in use, allow the pad to cool down before folding.
•
If you detect a defect in your sanowell heating pad, or if you
have dropped the pad in water, pull the power plug out of
the power outlet immediately. Do not touch the heating pad
until the power circuit has been interrupted!
•
The heating pad must be returned to the manufacturer or its
agent if the thermal link has ruptured.
•
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualifi ed persons
in order to avoid any hazard.
•
Your sanowell heating pad may only be repaired and opened
by an expert authorized by hofmann gmbh, otherwise the
guarantee will expire.
•
This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to
heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to
react to overheating.
•
Children under the age of three are not to be use this
appliance due to their inability to react to overheating.
•
The appliance is only to be used with the tpyes that are
marked on the appliance.
Operation
With your sanowell electric heating pad, you can enjoy pleasant, relaxing warmth at
several temperature settings. The fastening strip allows you to position the pad on the
desired body part, applying heat and increasing the blood circulation in that area to
soothe tense muscles.
Using your sanowell ComfortTherm heating pad
• Insert the power plug into a power outlet. The orange indicator lamp (Auto-O ) and
the display screen light up for a moment and show that the heating pad is ready for
use.
• Use the On/O button to switch on your sanowell heating pad. The "L" in the display
shows that the pad is set to the lowest heat setting. To increase the heat, press the
temperature button until the desired heat setting is shown in the display.
• The sanowell ComfortTherm heating pads have 11 heat settings: L (lowest heat
setting), 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and H (highest heat setting).
• After 180 minutes, the heating pad is shut o automatically. The orange lamp (Auto-
O ) lights up and shows that the heating pad has stopped heating up. If you want to
start the pad again after the 180 minutes have elapsed, press the On/O button.
• If you want to shut o the pad sooner, also press the On/O button.
• Please remember to always remove the power plug from the power outlet after use.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Pull the power plug and allow the pad to cool o , then clean it with a soft, slightly
moist cloth or a soft brush. Make sure that no water penetrates the pad and do not
use the pad until it is completely dry.
• Do not use aggressive cleaners.
• Store the pad in a cool, dry place; do not fold the pad.
• The cover, not the pad itself, can be washed as indicated by the symbols on the label.
• Wash before fi rst use
• Wash inside out and close Velcro fastening strips.
• Please use mild detergent.
