It is normal if some smoke or smell emanates from the appliance when using it for the first
time. Therefore, we advise you to use your appliance empty once before the first use. Set
the timer to ca. 10 minutes at the maximum temperature (230°C) on the "heat from above
and below" position.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When using for the first time, clean the appliance with a damp cloth and wipe dry.
•
Plug the unit into an earthed wall socket.
•
Put the food in the oven.
•
Select the desired cooking mode (upper heating element, lower heating element or both
•
combined) and the temperature thanks to the buttons 2 and 1 on the control panel.
•
Turn the mechanical timer (3) to set the desired cooking time. The pilot light (4) will
illuminate. You'll hear a signal when the cooking time has elapsed. The appliance will
switch off automatically. The pilot light will go out.
If you want to stop before the selected time is over, place the timer in the "0" position or
•
place the function selector in the off position.
Turnspit: As soon as you turn on the timer, the catch for the turnspit on the right-hand side
•
of the oven cavity starts turning automatically. So please remove the turnspit when you do
not wish to use it.
When you have fitted the turnspit (make sure that the foodstuffs do not stick out too far
•
and that they cannot touch the heating elements, fix for instance chicken drumsticks with
wooden toothpicks), first put the square part of the turnspit into the opening of the catch
on the right, then into the guide groove (11) on the left.
Always carefully open the door, preferably using an oven glove.
•
Remove the food using appropriate utensils. To take out the baking tray or the rack, make
•
use of the carrying handle (12).
After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.
