TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Problem
No power when
POWER ON/OFF
BUTTON is pressed
No power when
plugged in
No sound
CD player does not
work normally or the
"No" appears on the
LED DISPLAY.
Noise or sound
distorted on FM
broadcast
Possible Cause
DC plug of the AC
adapter is not plugged
into the DC JACK
properly.
The AC outlet may not
have power.
MASTER VOLUME
of this unit is set to
minimum.
Disc is inserted upside
down.
Disc is dirty.
Disc is scratched.
Disc is warped.
A non-standard disc is
inserted.
Lens is dirty.
Moisture has
condensed inside the
CD deck.
Station not tuned
properly.
FM wire antenna is not
fully extended.
Solution
Re-insert the DC plug
of the AC adapter
properly.
Check the outlet with a
working lamp or other
electrical appliance.
Turn up the MASTER
VOLUME.
Insert disc correctly.
Wipe it clean with soft
cloth.
Use a new disc.
Use a new disc.
Only use compatible
discs mentioned in this
manual.
Clean the optical
pickup with a CD lens
cleaner.
Wait about 20 to 30
minutes to let it dry
out.
Fine tune the FM
broadcast station.
Fully extend the FM
wire
antenna.
