G. Mount the detector
Determine correct mounting location
A combination detector is a smoke detector and
carbon monoxide detector in one. Smoke rises and
carbon monoxide spreads through the air. Due to this
difference, the ideal mounting location depends
entirely on your situation.
Check figure 4 and 5 for correct mounting
locations. Most EU countries require smoke
detectors on all floors and escape routes.
Smoke spreads horizontally after rising to the
ceiling, so install the detector in middle of the
ceiling.
If the length of the room or the hall is beyond 10
meters, you need to install multiple (smoke)
alarms.
In rooms with a combustion appliance, place the
detector at a horizontal distance between 1-3
meters from the CO source.
Make sure your mounting location is within reach
of the 2.4 GHz WiFi-network.

Within 1.5 meters of lamps, next to air outlets (e.g.
doors/windows), fans and central heating.

Places with difficult access, making it difficult to operate the test function.
Mounting instructions
Step 1: Twist the mounting bracket counterclockwise off the detector by aligning the lines (Figure 1).
Step 2: Put the bracket in the mounting position and mark the 2 screw holes. Drill two 5mm
mounting holes and insert the two plastic anchor plugs by hammer. Screw the mounting bracket to
the ceiling or the wall.
Step 3: Attach the detector to the mounting bracket and turn clockwise to lock the detector.
