Cause
Pressure reducing valve is oversized
pressure reducing valve is not fully opened
The pressure reducing valve is not set to the
desired outlet pressure
Pressure reducing valve filter insert
contaminated
Pressure reducing valve not installed in direction
of flow
Pressure reducing valve filter insert
contaminated or worn
The nozzle or sealing disc of the valve insert is
contaminated or damaged
Pressure increase on outlet pressure side (e.g.
due to water heating device)

Slacken tension in compression spring
• Turn adjustment handle counter clockwise (-) until
it does not move any more

Unscrew the spring bonnet
• Use double ring wrench ZR06K

Remove slip ring
9.
Remove valve insert with a pair of pliers

Unscrew filter bowl
• Use double ring wrench ZR06K

Remove slotted ring
12.
Check that sealing ring, edge of nozzle and slotted
ring are in good condition, and if necessary replace
the entire valve insert

Remove filter, clean and reinsert
14.
Place O-ring onto filter bowl
15.
Reassemble in reverse order
Press in diaphragm with finger before inserting slip
ring
Screw in filter cup hand-tight (up to max. 18Nm)

Set outlet pressure and adjust setting scale

Disposal
Observe the local requirements regarding correct waste
recycling/disposal!
Remedy
Call technical customer support
Replace valve insert
Open shut-off valves completely
Set outlet pressure
Replace filter insert
Install the pressure reducing valve in the
direction of flow (observe the arrow
direction on housing)
Replace filter insert
Replace filter insert
Check the functionality of the check
valve, safety group etc.
