7. Installation hints
Key active terminal
The key-active output switches to ground (-) for 10s whenever a key is
•
touched. It can be used to turn a LED lamp and/or a small (low power)
buzzer on, or to trigger a CCTV camera to start recording.
When driving high power devices e.g. lights an external power supply and
•
isolation relay must be used. Make sure the isolation factor of the relay is
high enough to prevent damage to the keypad.
It is recommended to connect only one circuit to the terminal. The sink
•
current may not exceed 100mA (max. rating).
Duress output terminal
The duress output switches to ground (-) whenever a duress code is
•
entered. It can be used to turn a LED lamp and/or a small (low power)
buzzer on, or connected to a 24h N.O. protection zone of an alarm
system.
It is recommended to connect only one circuit to the terminal. The sink
•
current may not exceed 100mA (max. rating).
Output 2 terminals
Use the N.O. contact to shunt a N.C. protection zone of an alarm system.
•
For this, set output 2 contact to Start/Stop Mode.
Use the output 2 terminals to use as an arm/disarm control of an alarm
•
system. Set output 2 to momentary mode for multi-station systems or to
Start/Stop mode for single station systems.
