SHREDDER
Documents shredder
Before using the device for the first time. In particu-
lar, please comply with the safety notices.
SAFETY NOTICES
1. The shredder is only suitable for shredding of pa-
per, credit cards and CDs/ DVDs. Any other use or
modification shall be deemed to be improper and
involves substantial risk of accidents.
2. Always be sure to keep all loose objects such as e.g.
clothing, ties, jewellery and all other small objects
away from the feed slot in order to avoid injury.
3. Unplug the device if the document shredder is not
used for a longer period of time to avoid damages
and injuries.
4. Remove all paper clips and staples before inserting
the paper. Though the device is capable of shred-
ding staples, this is not recommended. This is in
order to avoid damages and injuries.
5. Always be sure to keep your fingers and hands
away from the feed slot in order to avoid serious
injury .
6. Do not put your fingers into the central hole of the
CD when you insert it into the unit. This is to avoid
serious injuries.
7. The device should be setup as close as possible to
an easily accessible wall socket to avoid the danger
of stumbling over the cable.
8. The document shredder must always be deactivat-
ed and disconnected from the electrical line prior
to moving, transporting and cleaning the device
and prior to emptying the waste basket to avoid
the danger of injuries.
9. Empty the waste basket frequently. Otherwise the
shredder may jam.
10. Please do not leave the document shredder unat-
tended e.g. in the event children or pets are near-
by. There is a risk of injury by improper handling.
11. Never open the casing to avoid serious injuries.
12. The device may not be operated with a damaged
power cord to avoid electric shock or short circuit.
13. Please read the manual before operating the ma-
chine .

15. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory

Remark: For optimum results and to protect the ma-
chine, we suggest the user to operate it for 2 minutes
and then rest 60 minutes.
SETTING UP THE DOCUMENTS SHREDDER
1. Securely mount the document shredder on a waste

accidents.
