The PRINCESS SANDWICH MAKER is ideal for making quick and tasty toasted cheese or ham
sandwiches. The non-stick coating on the baking surface prevents sticking and is easy to clean. The
indicator lights for "on/off" and "temperature" and the automatic thermostat make the PRINCESS
SANDWICH MAKER very simple to use.
We suggest that you wipe the baking surface with a damp cloth before first use, and that you remove all
labels.
USER'S TIPS
Grease the baking surface lightly with butter, grease, oil or something similar. Plug in the machine (the
"Power" indication light lights up) and close the PRINCESS SANDWICH MAKER. The warm-up time is
about 5 minutes; during this time you can prepare the sandwich. When the baking surface has reached the
proper temperature, the "Ready" light goes on.
Open the PRINCESS SANDWICH MAKER and place the sandwich on the bottom surface in the usual
way, i.e. first the bread, then the filling, and then another piece of bread. Close the toaster (do not press
the two surfaces together too hard) and fasten with the clip on the handle. Always make sandwiches with
the toaster closed.
Closing the toaster can sometimes produce steam. Be careful not to burn yourself. The sandwich is ready
within 2-3 minutes; of course, you can experiment with the toasting time to see what produces the best
result.
Note: during toasting the "Ready" light will blink on and off; this means that the thermostat is functioning
properly and that the temperature is being regulated accordingly.
When the sandwich is done, open the toaster and remove the sandwich, if necessary with a wooden or
plastic spatula. Never use metal utensils as this can damage the non-stick coating.
If you wish to make more sandwiches, you may leave the toaster shut in the meantime to keep it at the
correct temperature. Unplug the machine if you will not be using the toaster again.
CLEANING
FIRST UNPLUG THE MACHINE
Clean the toaster after each use, to prevent caking on of crumbs and food. Let the PRINCESS
SANDWICH MAKER cool off first after use. Never pour cold water on the baking surfaces; this
will damage the machine and could cause spattering of hot water. Do not use any abrasive or corrosive
detergents.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE MACHINE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Clean the baking surfaces with paper towel or the like. Hard to remove bits can be soaked
first with a small amount of frying oil (let soak for 5 minutes). The outside can be wiped
off with a damp cloth.
PRINCESS TIPS
- Use this toaster only for household use.
- Make sure that the cord or extension cord is out of the way so that no one can trip over it
and that the cords do not come in contact with the hot baking surfaces.
- A damaged electrical lead on this type of apparatus can only be replaced using special
equipment, therefore return it to the store for repair.
