Operating instructions
LiPo Checker Pro 2-8S
Item no. 1595033
Intended use
The processor-controlled LiPo-Checker compensates for voltage differences in multicellular lithium battery
packs during storage or model operation. Non-uniformly charged cells reduce the capacity of the entire
accumulator pack. The balancer is suitable for lithium battery packs with 1 to 8 cells. The charge status is
indicated for each cell.
You may not connect any lead/Ni-Cd-/NiMH accumulators or batteries (zinc-carbon, alkaline, etc.).
Observe the polarity of the balancer's connection cables!
Do not use the product under adverse ambient conditions.
Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
• Damp or excess air humidity.
• Dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvents
• strong vibrations.
Any other use than that described above is not permitted and can damage the product. Furthermore, there
are dangers such as short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be modified or converted!
You must observe the safety notices and operating instructions of the battery packs!
Explanation of symbols
An exclamation mark in a triangle refers to important information in these operating instructions
that must be adhered to.

Safety instructions
Please read the entire manual before using the device as it contains important informa-
tion for proper operation.
The warranty will be void for damage arising from non-compliance with these operating
instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incorrect
handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! Your guarantee will become
void in any such case.
• For safety and licensing reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to electronic
devices are not permitted.
• Do not leave the charger and connected rechargeable batteries, unattended while in ope-
ration.
• To ensure safe operation, the user must follow the safety instructions and warning notices
included in these operating instructions.
• Chargers and accessories should be kept away from children! They are not toys.
• On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the industrial
workers' society for electrical equipment and utilities must be followed.
• In schools, training centres, hobby and self-help groups, the use of chargers and accessories
must be supervised by trained personnel in a responsible manner.
• Avoid use during unfavourable ambient conditions. Otherwise the sensitive electronic parts
inside the charger may be damaged and could be life threatening to the user. Unfavourable
ambient conditions are:
- Excessively high humidity (> 75% rel., condensing)
- Moisture
- Dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvent, petrol
- excessively high ambient temperature (> ca. +40 °C)
• When charging rechargeable batteries, always observe the charging instructions provided by
the battery manufacturer.
• Improper use (too high charging current or incorrect polarity) can supercharge or damage the
rechargeable battery. In the worst case, the rechargeable battery can explode and thereby
cause serious damage.
• Never connect the charger to the battery pack immediately after taking it from a cold into a
warm environment. The resulting condensation could, under adverse circumstances, destroy
the appliance. Allow the device to reach ambient temperature before switching it on.
• If safe operation can no longer be assumed, the device must be switched off and secured
against unintended operation.
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- does not function any longer and
- the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.

Description of the parts
Connection/Start-up
When connecting batteries, always observe the polarity and the charging instructions of the
battery manufacturer concerned.
After a short system test, the parameters are shown in the display.
Operation
The LiPo Checker is operated using two buttons.
The "S" button (2):
Pressing it for a while starts the setting menu. In the menu, briefly pressing the button switches to the next
menu item. Pressing the button for a while saves the settings and exits the settings menu.
The "C" button (5):
The parameter value can be changed in the settings menu. Pressing the button for a while exits the menu
without saving. In display mode, button „C" switches the display (1. to full display of battery status. The ca-
pacity indicator gives the % of the average cell voltage, lowest cell voltage and battery pack nominal voltage
- 2. Bar display of all cells individually with voltage value. The top half of the bar indicates Lo-, the bottom
half indicates the normal level. The dots above the bars indicate the set level of the undervoltage alarm - 3.
Individual value display of all cells.
Set-up menu
Press and hold down button „2" for approx. 2 seconds. This will activate the set-up menu. The following

If no entry is made for approx. 30s, the menu automatically exits without saving.
The activated search function automatically recognises the flight mode for certain engine
configurations and outputs an optical-acoustic search signal (4) approx. 1 minute after
the engine has been switched off. Please check this function before use to see if the LiPo
Checker recognises your engine configuration. If not, deactivate the search function.
