INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before initial use:
Before using the toaster for the first time, clean your toaster (see Chapter "CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE"). Operate the toaster at least twice without bread. Ventilate the room during this period.
This appliance may emit a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first time. This is normal, and
no harm.
Use:
1.
Insert the power plug into the socket.
2.
Insert up to two slices of bread in the browning slot.
3.
Press the toasting lever down until it engages.
4.
Press the browning control button to select the desired degree of browning between 1 and 7 (1 = lightest;
7 = darkest degree of browning). The browning level is shown on the LED display. No. 3 is the default
setting. The degree of browning chosen depends on the type of bread and individual taste.
5.
The toasting process starts automatically. The indicator lights of the cancel button and browning control
button are shown on the LED display.

Please remember that the toasting lever will not engage if the power plug is not inserted in the socket.

The toaster switches itself off automatically and the toasted bread is ejected when the desired degree of
browning has been reached. The cancel button can always be used to cancel the toasting process.
Reheat function:
Press the reheat button to reheat the toasted bread without changing the bread colour. The indicator light of
reheat button will illuminate.
Defrost function:
Press the defrost button to prolong the toasting time of frozen bread. The indicator light of defrost button will
illuminate.
One-side baking function:
Press the one-side baking button to toast only one side of the bread (the outer side when the bread is put into
the toaster). The indicator light of one-side baking button will illuminate.
