Verticale frequentie: het scherm van het
product functioneert door het beeld op
het scherm tientallen keren per seconde te
vernieuwen, net als een TL-lamp.
De verticale frequentie, of de
vernieuwingsfrequentie is het aantal keer dat
het beeld per seconde wordt vernieuwd. De
eenheid die hiervoor wordt gebruikt is Hz.
•
Horizontale frequentie: de horizontale
frequentie is de tijd die benodigd is om één
horizontale lijn te tonen. Door 1 te delen
door de horizontale frequentie kan het aantal
horizontale lijnen dat per seconde wordt
getoond worden geclassificeerd. De eenheid
die hiervoor wordt gebruikt is kHz.

DISPLAYPORT ondersteunt geen YCbCr 4:2:2.
