De IEC-norm voor RTD die algemeen wordt gebruikt in industriële toepassingen in de VS is de Pt100 (385),
α = 0,00385 Ω/°C.
Pt100 (3916), α = 0,003916 Ω/°C wordt ook JIS-curve genoemd.
Er kunnen ook speciale RTD's worden toegevoegd, zie 'PRT custom curves'.
