5 Screw the hose fracture protection valve onto
the pressure regulator (on is counterclockwise).
Secure a no-leak connection by using Loctite or
teflon tape on the wire of the hose fracture protec-
tion valve. The precise regulator only allows a
small amount of gas flowing through in a relative-
ly long period. To produce a series of shots, it's
necessary to allow a large amount of gas in
a short period, that's why the precise regulator
has to be disconnected. The hose fracture pro-
tection valve provides extra security, by closing
the gas flow at the moment the counter-pressure
disappears. For instance when the hose detaches
on either side of the equipment, or when it is
accidentally run over and severely damaged.
After opening the valve of the gas tank always
push the red button of the hose fracture protec-
tion valve, to make sure an unobstructed gas
flow is guaranteed.

5 Draai de slangbreukbeveiliging vast op de
drukregelaar (Vast = tegen de klok in). Zorg
voor een lekvrije verbinding door eerst Loctite of
teflon tape op de draadverbinding aan te bren-
gen. De fijnregelaar laat heel weinig gas door
over een langere periode. Voor het produceren
van een serie knallen is het noodzakelijk, dat
er veel gas in een zeer korte tijd doorgelaten
wordt, daarom moet de fijnregelaar verwijderd
worden. De slangbreukbeveiliging is een extra
beveiliging, die de gasdoorvoer afsluit op het
moment dat de tegendruk wegvalt. Bijvoorbeeld
in het geval dat de gasslang los schiet, of in het
geval dat iemand per ongeluk over de gasslang
heen rijdt en deze daarbij ernstig beschadigd.
Na het opendraaien van de gaskraan, ook altijd
de rode knop van de slangbreukbeveiliging indruk-
ken, om een onbelemmerde gasdoorvoer tot stand
te brengen.
