HALFEN DEMU Lifting link
The surface between the lifting link and the concrete must be fl at and clean. Check that the anchor thread is
6
completely clean before screwing in the lifting link. The lifting link must be fully screwed in with no thread
remaining visible.
The lifting link must be only be screwed into a corresponding size of anchor.
7
M16 lifting link in a M16 anchor thread.
If anchors are installed in a recess, the recess in the concrete must also be clean and the bottom smooth
8
and clean. The connecting surface of the lifting link must have full contact with the top of the lifting anchor.
The 6311 lifting link, sizes M12 to M30 can be used with anchors cast in a recess using a 2280
nailing plate. This also applies to the 1245 lifting link for sizes M12-M24.
Before a concrete element is lifted, always refer to the plans to establish the type of embedded anchor
9
and which lifting link should be used. It must be verifi ed that the anchor in combination with the
lifting link is suitable for lifting the load, with the actual concrete quality and any edge distances.
The acting load consists of the weight of the concrete element, the angle of lift, the lifting factor and
any friction in the formwork.
The maximum allowable load is marked on the lifting link. The allowable load on the lifting system is
10
determined by the bond strength of the anchor in the concrete element, the lifting angle, the concrete
quality, the edge distances, etc. and therefore does not have to be the maximum permitted load as marked
on the lifting system equipment. The maximum allowable loads for the lifting links can be found in the
HALFEN DEMU-Lift 20 catalogue.
11
Please refer to DIN EN 13414 for further specifi cations.
Each lifting link has its specifi c "Approval certifi cate".
