Empty the steam generator into the sink.

Fill the steam generator with fresh water and shake again.

Empty the steam generator into the sink again.

Repeat steps 6 & 7 twice to obtain the best result.

Screw the Calc-Clean rinsing cap tightly back onto the steam
generator.
Calc-Clean light (GC8261/GC8260 only)
The Calc-Clean light flashes for 30 seconds when it is time to rinse

the steam generator.
The steam generator does not heat up during these 30 seconds.
Switch off the appliance immediately and let it cool down.
Do not use the Calc-Clean function when the steam generator is hot.
Use the Calc-Clean function as described above.
