Disengaging Retrieval mode:

Once the casualty has been released the lifeline can either be manually
rewound or automatically rewound by disengaging retrieval function.
To disengage retrieval function, pull the plunger

whilst pushing the

handle shaft
into the case. Once released the plunger will lock the
shaft into position.
