Problem
Cannot get truly round view without
dark edges
Display not sharp
"- - -" displayed when measuring
Display flashes or no measurement
possible
Cause
a) Viewer's pupil is not in ocular's exit a) Correct the eye position
pupil
b) Eyecup position is not correct for
use with / without glasses
Diopter compensation setting is
not perfect
a) Target out of operating range
b) Insufficient reflection from target
Battery flat

Remedy
b) When wearing glasses, fold down
the eyecup, for viewing without,
it should remain up (see p. 16)
Repeat diopter compensation adjustment
(see p. 16)
Note information on measuring range

Replace battery (see p. 14)
