Pizza baking
WARNING
• The appliance must be installed with a clearance of at
least 1.5 meter around the appliance and to combusti-
ble or non-combustible materials.
• Follow all leak test procedures carefully in this manual
prior to operation.
• Stay away from the opening of the oven during ignition.
• Burn hazard: The appliance and especially the pizza
stone get very hot and stay hot for a long time after
use.
CAUTION
GREASE FIRES
• Do not use water on a grease fire. Personal injury may
result. If a persistent grease fire develops, turn control
knob and gas cylinder off.
• If appliance has not been regularly cleaned, a grease
fire can occur that may damage the product. Pay close
attention while preheating or burning off food residues
to insure that a grease fire does not develop. Follow
instructions on general appliance cleaning and clean-
ing the burner assembly to prevent grease fires.
• The best way to prevent grease fires is to regularly
clean the appliance.
∙ Do not use the pizza stone over an open flame.
∙ Extreme temperature changes can break the pizza stone.
Do not place frozen food on a hot stone. Do not cool down
the pizza stone with water.
∙ The pizza stone is fragile and can break if bumped or
dropped.
∙ Pre-heat the pizza oven before use on maximum level for
about 15 min. This burns away possible residues and may
cause an unpleasant smell for a short time.
Control knob
The Burner is controlled by a control knob. Once the burner
is lit, the temperature can be set as required by setting the
control knob between MAX (high temperature) and MIN (low
temperature).

Ignitor lighting
The appliance features a piezo igniter system that allows
easy lighting of the oven:
Therefore:
1. Set the control knob to Off (push the knob in and turn it to
the right, until the triangle points upwards).
2. Open the gas valve of the gas cylinder.
3. Push the control knob in and turn it to the left. The burner
will ignite automatically.
4. Wait until the burner is lit and turn the knob further to the
lower left.
If the burner does not ignite after 5 seconds, set the control
knob to off (push in the control knob and turn to the right, un-
til the triangle points upwards) and close the gas valve. Wait
for 5 minutes. Repeat the above procedure.
Manual lighting
If the electric ignitor of the appliance does not work or you
like to light the appliance manually using a match:
1. Set the control knob to Off (push the knob in and turn it to
the right, until the triangle points upwards).
2. Open the gas valve of the gas cylinder.
3. Insert a match into the matchstick holder, ignite the match
and insert it through the oven opening to the burner.
4. Push the control knob in and turn it to the left.
5. Make sure the burner lights and stays lit.
6. If the burner does not ignite after 5 seconds, set the con-
trol knob to off (push in the control knob and turn to the
right, until the triangle points upwards) and close the gas
valve. Wait for 5 minutes. Repeat the above procedure.
Turn off
Continue to heat the oven at maximum temperature for fur-
ther 5 min. after use to burn food residues.
1. Push in the control knob and turn to the right until the tri-
angle points upwards.
2. Close the gas valve after the burner is off.
