• Fill the jug with around
0.7 l of water and then top
up to the 1.0 mark on the
water level indicator with
clear table vinegar. Alterna-
tively, fill the jug with around
0.9 l of water and then top
up to the 1.0 mark on the
water level indicator with
clear vinegar essence.
• Close the lid.
• Place the jug on the base
and press the "100 °C"
temperature button.
• Wait until the kettle
switches off automatically.
• Use the handle to lift the
jug off the base and then
pour out the water/vinegar
mixture.
• Repeat this process
3 times with only fresh
water.
Note:
You may also use com
mercial descaling solutions
to descale the jug. In this
case, follow the manufac
turer's instructions on the
packaging.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
The current consumed
to heat a litre of water
(initial temperature 20 °C)
to boiling point is around
0.107 kWh. Energy con-
sumption can be opti-
mised by only heating the
amount of water actually
required and only heating
to the actual temperature
required.

Lime-scale build-up may
affect the performance of

excessive lime-scale, the
remaining water must be
poured away after heating.
