This marking means that the AR-051 air conditioners have been designed for industrial
applications and comply with the requirements for Category 3 equipment used in potentially
hazardous areas due to the presence of gas, mist or vapor. This makes them suitable for use
in Zone 2.
The protection techniques used are Increased Safety (ec), Constructional Safety (h), Intrinsic
Safety (ic) and Molding (mc). Gas group IIB+H
ignition of gas, mist or vapor is T3 for the outdoor / condenser unit and T4 for the indoor /
evaporator unit. The AR-051 air conditioning system is suitable for ambient temperatures of
-27 °C up to +52 °C.
