Before using your appliance for the first time
Clean the plates using a damp sponge rinse and dry carefully.
After applying a fine coating oil to the plates, close the appliance and plug it in. The indicator
light (red) will come on. Allow it to heat up for several minutes to get rid of the new smell.

CAUTION:Do not use this product to cook or defrost frozen food.
NOTE: During the initial uses of this product, it may produce some smoke. This is normal
and will subside with further use.

Open the unit by pulling the Handle up.

Close the Plates and turn the unit on by plugging it into a standard electrical outlet. Verify that
