Lay the cable such that it cannot be kinked, pinched or pulled.
The cables must not be laid near hot surfaces or rotating parts.
Always observe safety instructions given in the instructions for use of the device, which you would like to switch
using the interruption contact.
If you are doubtful during assembly, ask your specialist workshop or vehicle manufacturer for advice.
Also observe the safety instructions in the individual sections of these operating instructions.

5.2 Installation
Mount the contact switch of the engine bonnets on the lock cover or mudguard in the engine compartment of your vehicle using
the mounting bracket (position 2 in the overview). Make sure that no other cables, lines or seals are damaged when mounting
it. Mount the contact switch of the engine bonnets such that the engine bonnet is engaged neatly and securely in closed state.
5.3 Connection
Disconnect the battery before carrying out any work on the electrical system of your vehicle. To do this, read the
manual of your vehicle or ask your specialist workshop.
Connect the circuit-breaker between the positive terminal of the current source (battery, permanent positive terminal 30 or B+)
and the positive terminal of your device (marten repellent device), image 2. The cables must not be laid near hot surfaces or
rotating parts. Conduct a test before you lay the connection cable securely.

Connect the battery again after the test is successful.
6. Maintenance and care
Check the connectors of the connections for firm fitting and corrosion regularly. Carefully bend loose flat blade receptacles using
a pair of pointed pliers. Clean corroded connections using a soft brass brush and spray them with contact spray.
7. Notes regarding environmental protection
Do not put electrical devices into the household waste! Electrical and electronic scrap must be collected separately
and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner for recycling. Please contact your local authority regarding
disposal options for electronic scrap.
