Solar yield/optimisation
The gross collector area, collector version and climate zone number
must be set correctly in order to achieve maximum energy savings and to
display the correct value for the solar yield.
The value of the solar yield, is a calculated yield estimate. Measured values
are displayed with the function heat meter (L) (Accessories WMZ).

in collector array 1. The solar yield is only displayed if an area

is set.

Climate zone
1 ... 90 ... 255: Climate zone of the installation location
according to the map ( Fig. 43, and 44 at the end of the
document).
▶ Search for the location of the system on the climate zones
map and set the climate zone number.
Min. DHW
Off: DHW reheating via the heat appliance irrespective of the
temp.
minimum DHW temperature
15 ... 45 ... 70 °C: The control system determines whether
solar yield is available and whether the stored amount of heat
is sufficient to supply DHW. The control system then reduces
the set DHW temperature to be produced by the heat
appliance in accordance with these two values. If there is
sufficient solar yield, there is therefore no need to reheat the
DHW with the heat appliance. If the temperature set here is not
reached, the DHW is reheated by the heat appliance.
Solar infl. heat.
Off: Solar influence switched off.
circ. 1 ... 4
– 1 ... – 5 K: Influence of solar on the set room temperature:
at a high value, the flow temperature of the heating curve is
reduced at a correspondingly greater rate in order to enable
greater passive solar energy input through the building's
windows. At the same time this reduces a temperature
overshoot in the building and increases the comfort level.
• Increase heating circuit solar influence ( – 5 K = max.
influence) if the heating circuit heats rooms that have large
south-facing windows.
• Do not increase heating circuit solar influence if the heating
circuit heats rooms that have small areas of north-facing
windows.
Reset solar
Yes: Resets the solar yield to zero.
yield
No: No change
Reset solar
Yes: Resets the solar optimisation calibration and restarts it.
optimisation
The settings for Solar yield/optimisation remain unchanged.
No: No change

Setting area: function description
Set temp.
Off: Regulates to a constant temperature differential between
Match-F.
collector and cylinder (Match-Flow).
35 ... 45 ... 60 °C: Match-Flow (only in combination with speed
modulation) is used to quickly heat the top part of the cylinder
to 45 °C, for example, in order to prevent the potable water
being reheated by the heat producer.
Glycol content 0 ... 45 ... 50 %: In order to obtain accurate readings from the
heat meter, the glycol content of the heat transfer medium
must be specified (only with Heat meter (L)).

Transfer
Menu item
Adjustment range: Function description
Transfer switch-on
6 ... 10 ... 20 K: If the differential set here between
diff.
cylinder 1 and cylinder 3 is exceeded, and all conditions
for switching on have been met, the transfer pump
between the cylinders is on.
Transfer switch-off
3 ... 5 ... 17 K: If the differential between cylinder 1 and
diff.
cylinder 3 falls below the value set here, the transfer pump
between the cylinders is off.
Switch-on diff. diff.
6 ... 20 K: If the differential between the measured
ctrllr
temperature at the heat source (TS14) and the measured
temperature at the heat sink (TS15) is below the set value,
the output signal is off (only with Temp. differential
controller (M)).
Switch-off diff. diff.
3 ... 17 K: If the differential between the measured
ctrllr
temperature at the heat source (TS14) and the measured
temperature at the heat sink (TS15) is below the set value,
the output signal is off (only with Temp. differential
controller (M)).
Max source t. diff
13 ... 90 ... 120 °C: If the temperature at the heat source
ctrllr
exceeds the value set here, the temperature differential
controller switches off (only with Temp. differential
controller (M)).
Min. src. temp. diff
10 ... 20 ... 117 °C: If the temperature at the heat source
cont.
exceeds the value set here and all conditions for switching
on have been met, the temperature differential controller
switches on (only with Temp. differential controller
(M)).
Max. setbk temp.
20 ... 60 ... 90 °C: If the temperature at the heat sink
diff ctrl
exceeds the value set here, the temperature differential
controller switches off (only with Temp. differential
controller (M)).
