Connecting the cameras electrically
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Ensure that the cables and connections are connected correctly to ensure permanent and
trouble-free operation of the retrofitted components. Improperly installed cables and connec-
tions can lead to malfunction or damage to components.
Ensure that the lines for terminal 15 3 A, le indicator, right indicator, and reverse are secured
on the vehicle side with a fuse rated no higher than (Fig. ). If this is not the case, then an
additional fuse must be used at the corresponding consumer point.
If the connection "MONITOR CTRL OUT" is not used, the copper end must be insulated. The
load of this output must not exceed 150 mA.
NOTE Route the camera cable so that the connection between the camera and the extension ca-
ble is easy to reach.
1.
Connect the camera system as shown in the wiring diagram (Fig. ).
2. Protect the plug connection between the extension cable and the cameras each with an O-ring and vulcan-
izing tape.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Attach the O-rings and vulcanization tape to protect the connectors from water and meet IP67
sealing requirements.
NOTE The vulcanizing tape must be at least 10 cm cm long for each plug connection.
