When two batteries are inserted, you can change the batteries in Battery
Compartment A without turning the camera off. You may find this useful
when using the camera continuously for long periods of time.
► Battery Using Order
• If you are using only one battery, you can insert it into either battery
compartments.
• When two batteries are inserted, the battery in compartment A will be
used first. When the battery in compartment A is depleted, the camera
will use the battery in compartment B.
► Low Temperature Environment
• When powered by an undercharged EN-EL15C/EN-EL15B/EN-EL15A/
EN-EL15 lithium-ion battery pack, the camera can be used in a low-tem-
perature environment (about 10°C).
• The camera may not function properly in low temperatures (about 10°C
or less).
• In cold weather, fully charge one set of batteries before use and store
the other set of fully charged batteries in a warm place to replace them
when needed. After the batteries warm up, the battery power may return
back to normal operation.
D) Battery Power Indicator
The battery level in the PATONA battery grip is displayed in the camera
shooting display and control panel.
E) Precautions for Use
⚠Please note the following when using the PATONA bettery grip.
• Contacting the power/signal contacts with a metal object may result in
a short circuit; close the contact cover before storing or transporting
the battery cartridge or charging the battery without the battery gripnot
installed in the camera.
• When you attach or remove the handle from the camera, the access
indicator for the camera's memory card may light up.
• When using the camera with both the grip and the optional FTZ mount
adapter attached, attach the tripod to the tripod mount on the lens or
grip, not to the tripod mount on the FTZ.
While changing the battery, be careful not to
press the battery holder latch or remove the
battery holder.
