B) Installation
► Installing the Battery Grip to the Camera
1. Ensure the camera is turned "OFF"
2. Remove the contact cover from the battery compartment of the
camera (Figure 2-A).
3. Remove the battery cover from the bottom of the camera (Figure 2-B)
and attach it to the battery cover of the PATONA Premium Grip MB-
N11RC/MB-N11RC-L (Figure 3).
* If a battery is inserted into the camera, remove the battery.
4. Mounts the MB-N11RC/MB-N11RC-L to the camera (Figure 4).
Turn the caps lock knob in the direction indicated by the LOCK arrow
to secure the battery compartment.
► Removing the Battery Grip from the Camera
1. To remove the battery grip, turn off the camera, then turn the caps lock
knob in the opposite direction of the arrow to release it. After removing
the battery grip, remove the battery cover from the battery cover brac-
ket and reattach it to the camera.
2. When the battery is not in use, reattach the contact cover to the MB-N-
11RC/MB-N11RC-L.
C) Inserting batteries into the battery grip
Up to 2 EN-EL15C Li-ion battery packs can be used in the PATONA bat-
tery grip. Turn off the camera before inserting the battery. In addition, you
need to turn the control lock to the L position.
3. Press and hold the battery compartment latch while sliding the battery
compartment lid to one end and open it (Figure 5).
4. Push the battery holder latch in the direction shown and remove the
battery holder (Figure 6).
5. Insert the battery into the battery holder (Figure 7).
Please make sure that the battery is inserted in the correct direction.
When the battery is fully inserted into battery compartment A, the
battery latch locks into the correct position.
6. Insert the battery holder with the connectors facing inward (Figure 8).
Press down on the battery holder latch with the bottom of the battery
