7 Installation
The mechanical and electrical installation and setup of the device must be performed by a qualified tech-
nician who has demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the construction and operation of automo-
tive and household equipment and installations, and who is familiar with the applicable regulations of the
country in which the equipment is to be installed and/or used, and has received safety training to identify
and avoid the hazards involved.
Installation location
When selecting an installation location, consider the following:
• The mounting surface must be even and sufficiently solid.
• The battery monitor must be installed in a location that is protected from moisture and dust.
• Install the battery monitor inside the vehicle.
• Install the battery monitor in a well ventilated area, away from flooded batteries and places with free acid
gasses.
Mounting the display

• Using wrong cables can lead to excessive overheating of the cables, high voltage drops, and possi-
ble failures. Use only the cables supplied.
• Ensure that no electrical cables or other parts of the vehicle can be damaged before drilling holes.
