Note - setting the time
• If no DCF radio signal is received within the rst few
minutes of the initial setup procedure, the search is
terminated. The radio symbol disappears.
• In the event of reception problems, we recommend
leaving the clock standing overnight since the
interference signals are generally fewer in number at
this time.
• Meanwhile, you can carry out a manual search for the
DCF radio signal at a different location or set the date
and time manually.
• Press and hold the °C / °F | Radio signal button (11)
again for approx. 3 seconds to end the manual search for
the DCF radio signal.
5.2 Manual setting of the date / time
Note - MODE button
• Press the MODE button (B) to switch between the
indoor temperature, AL 1, AL 2 and world time.
• Press and hold the MODE button (B) for approx. 3 seconds
until the display starts to ash.
• Set the following information in sequence:
- Year
- Month
- Day
- Hour
- Minute
• To select the individual values, press the UP button (C)
or the DOWN button (D) and con rm your selection by
pressing the MODE button (B).
• Press the MODE button (B) directly to adopt and skip the
displayed value.
• If no entries are made for 30 seconds, settings mode is
exited automatically.
Setting 12 / 24-hour format
• Press the UP button (C) to select the hour format: 12H
/ 24H
• In 12-hour format, PM / AM is shown on the display.
Setting the time zone
• Press and hold the UP button (C) to switch to time zone
mode.
• The display shows "F".
• Now press and hold the MODE button (B). The hour
display starts to ash.
• Use the UP button (C) and DOWN button (D) to set the
desired time zone. The value can be +/-12 hours.
Note - time zone
• The DCF signal can be received in many places, however
it does not always correspond to the CET applicable in
Germany. You should therefore remember to take into
account the time difference in countries with a different
time zone.
Setting the world time
• With world time, you can set a second time for any country
so that you can easily see what time it is in that country.
• Press the MODE button (B) three times to enter the
desired time.
• Now repeat the manual time setting as described in point
"5.2 Manual date/time setting".
Setting the week day language / calendar week
• Press and hold the DOWN button (D) to select the
language for the days of the week.
• The language changes automatically.
• Order: GE (German) / FR (French) / IT (Italian) / SP (Spanish)
/ EN (English).
• Press the DOWN button (D) to switch between the day of
the week and the calendar week
5.3 Temperature display
• Press the °C / °F | Radio signal button (11) to switch the
temperature display between °C and °F.
5.4 Alarm clock
Setting the alarm time
• Press the MODE button (B) to switch to alarm mode. AL 1
is displayed in place of the room temperature.
• Press and hold the MODE button (B) for 3 seconds. The
alarm time starts to ash.
• Set the following information in sequence:
- AL1: Hours; Minutes
- AL 2: Hours; Minutes
• Press the Up button (C) or Down button (D) to select
the hour of the alarm time and con rm the selection by
pressing the Mode button (B). The minute display starts
to ash.
• Repeat this procedure for the minutes of the alarm time.
• Press the MODE button (B) directly to adopt and skip the
displayed value.
• If no input is made for approx. 30 seconds, settings mode
is exited automatically
Activating/deactivating the alarm clock
• Brie y press the Alarm clock button (9) to activate or
deactivate the alarm times as follows. Alarm 1, Alarm
2, Alarm 1+2. Activated alarm times are indicated by a
corresponding alarm clock symbol (3) in the display.
5
