De 4-traps roterende nokkeneindschakelaar werkt ongeveer als de 2-traps
nokkeneindschakelaar, maar heeft vier afzonderlijk instelbare schakeleenheden. Er zijn voor
deze functie verschillende configuraties mogelijk, maar configuratie 1 (zie tabel 4-traps
nokkeneindschakelaar) is de standaardconfiguratie.
