11. Checking the Model Functions
a) Checking the Rudder Functions
First start the transmitter, then the model.
On the following photographs, the control rod for the engine speed and aileron (see Fig. 3, Pos. 10) is in the central position. This is the position
where the model is later controlled and should fly at a constant height.
To test the rudder breakouts it is, however, better to leave the control rod in the bottom position (engine off).
Neutral position:
If the control rod for the rudder function and the associated trim sliders are in the central position, the rudders should also be precisely in the central position. If
necessary, twisting the respective fork heads may result in elongating the rods so that the rudder can be adjusted with millimetre precision.
