WARNING
Switch off the voltage in the test circuit and discharge all the capaci-
tors present there. Voltages in the test circuit falsify the measure-
ment result and can destroy the measuring instrument. Perform volt-
age measurement on the component investigated before every
measurement; if necessary, discharge it via a highly resistive re-
sistance (e.g. 100 kΩ). Never short circuit a capacitor! Capacitors
can store large quantities of energy, which if discharged suddenly,
can cause electric shocks, arcing and fire.
