Comprises:
6 balls with 3 different patterns and 1 small
ball ("jack").
Number of Players:
2-6 players can play in up to 3 teams.
The goal of the game:
To throw the balls as close to the "jack" as
possible. The player/team with the closest
ball earns a point. The team that reaches 13
points first wins the game.
How to play:
Choose a flat and open outdoor space. The
ground can have minor irregularities and be
slightly uneven, loose stony, hard packed
earth or pea gravel. Very hard/soft surfaces,
like asphalt, concrete, long grass or fine
sand beaches, are not recommended to play
on.
Mark a circle on the ground in which all
players are to stand when throwing. A
player, traditionally chosen by flipping a
coin, throws the "jack". The same player
also gets to throw the first ball. THen it's the
next player's turn.
To throw a ball, the player must stand within
the set mark on the ground until the ball
hits the ground. The goal of each throw is
to get closest to the "jack". It is ok to hit
the "jack". The player/team with the closest
ball to the "jack" also earns an additional
point for each of their balls closer than the
opponents.
