Maintenance
Maintenance
You can do minor maintenance on the NEOX
yourself.
Cleaning and disinfection
Cleaning the back cushions and seat cushions can be
done by washing them according to the washing in-
structions on the product. The frame, push handles and
armrests can be cleaned with a damp cloth, water and
commercially available, non-abrasive detergent with a
pH between 5 and 9.
Disinfection can be done with 70% disinfectant. Allow
to air dry.
Note:
•
Never use abrasive and/or harsh detergents
or solvents, including thinner, dry cleaning
fluid such as thinner, benzene, and the like.
•
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the
wheelchair.
Please note:
•
Tightening the screws with excessive force
may damage the wheelchair..
Pneumatic tyres (option)
Check the tire pressure and the condition of the tires
(for aging) regularly. In order to drive the wheelchair
comfortably, i.e. with the lowest possible rolling and tur-
ning resistance, it is important that the tires are properly
inflated. When the tire pressure is low, the wheelchair
drives and maneuvers more heavily. To inflate the tires,
use a valve nipple (e.g. a bicycle pump). The maximum
tire pressure is indicated on the tires. Life & Mobility
recommends a maximum tire pressure of 6 bar. In case
of a flat tire, replace the tire.
Warning:
•
Under-inflated tyres have a negative impact
on braking power and driving characteristics.
