3.3 Regulating the main spring
Before starting taping operations check the snapback
of the levers in the taping heads. The tension of the
main spring can be regulated by turning the knob
(Fig. 4, Pos. 1), as follows:
• The upper taping head functions with the main
spring totally slack, therefore the knob must be
completely unscrewed (Fig. 4, Pos. 1);
• The lower taping head functions with the main
spring under tension so as to ensure a smooth
return of the levers, in a totally extended position.
3.4 Regulating the centring
roller friction
The friction device mounted on the arm of the
centring roller holder (Fig. 5, Pos. 1), is not generally
engaged.
However, when the adhesive tapes that unroll very
easily are used and when they have to pass over
the centring roller device, it is advisable to slightly
engage the spring of the friction device by tightening
the screw (Fig. 5, Pos. 2), until the cutting lenght is
constant.

3.3 Regeling van de hoofdveer
Vooraleer de dozen te sluiten, controleer de
sluitkracht van de hendels van de bandkoppen door
de spanning van de hoofdveer te regelen aan de
hand van de knop (Afb. 4, Pos. 1), als volgt:
• De bovenste bandkop moet werken met volledig
ontladen hoofdveer, dus moet de knop volledig
losgedraaid worden (Afb. 4, Pos. 1);
• De onderste bandkop moet werken met
geladen hoofdveer, om borg te staan voor een
vlotte retour van de hendels in de positie van
maximale extensie.
3.4 Regeling koppeling centrale rol
De koppeling, gemonteerd op de arm waarom
de centreerrol zit (Afb. 5, Pos. 1), wordt over
het algemeen niet geladen. In aanwezigheid van
kleefband met zwakke weerstand tegen afwikkeling
die over de centreerrol heen moet gaan, wordt
aangeraden de veer van de koppeling licht te laden
met de schroef (Afb. 5, Pos. 2), tot een constante
snijlengte verkregen wordt.
