6. Before using the appliance for
the fi rst time
Before using for the first time, rinse the accessories
thoroughly with warm water and washing-up liquid.
After cleaning, dry the accessories thoroughly before
switching on the appliance.
The appliance is driven by an electric motor. This can
lead to a slight smell during initial operation. This smell is
normal and is not a sign of a malfunctioning appliance.
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation.
This short manual describes the basic functions. Detailed
information on all other accessories can be found in the
user manual (available as a download, see Page 54).
6.1.
Inserting and changing stirrers
Press the release button to lift the swivel arm. Make
sure that the swivel arm engages in the upper position.
Place the mixing bowl on the appliance base mount.
Turn the mixing bowl as far as it will go towards the
closed lock symbol until it clicks into place (see Fig. 9).

Place the splash guard on the swivel arm until it en-
gages. It prevents the drive shaft from coming into
contact with the dough.
Assemble the stirrer on the food processor as shown.
Insert the stirrer into the holder on the swivel arm from
below (see Fig. 10).

Use the whisk for lightly beaten
foods:
• Eggs
• Egg whites
• Whipping cream
• Pudding
• Cake icing
