OPERATION
Operating the hob
Switching on and off
1. Place a pan on a cooking zone.
2. Turn the control knob clockwise to the desired position. Consult the overview of cooking
guidelines to choose the correct setting.
The display shows the setting that you have set.
▷
The cooking zones have 9 cooking settings and a 'boost' setting.
▷
3. Turn the knob to '0' to switch off the cooking zone.
Residual heat indicator
The hob has a residual heat indicator for each cooking zone to show those which are still hot.
Although the hob is switched off, the indicator 'H' will remain on for as long as the cooking zone
is hot! Avoid touching them when this indicator is lit.
Switching on the boost function
You can use the 'boost' function to cook at the highest cooking level during a short period of
time (max. 8 minutes). After the maximum boost time expires, the cooking zone switches back to
setting 9 or to the setting that has been selected after switching on the boost function.
1. Place a pan on a cooking zone.
2. Turn the control knob clockwise to position 'P'. The knob jumps back to position 9.
3. If you wish, turn the knob back to a lower setting.
The boost function is now activated. 'P' appears alternately with the setting in the display.
▷
The hob will start to work with the highest power level.
▷
After 8 minutes 'P' disappears and the power level that has been set will show in the
▷
display.
Turn the control knob to position 'P' and back to another level to stop the boost function
prematurely.
Switching on the pause function
You can pause the cooking instead of switching off the hob. This function temporarily reduces
the power of active cooking zones to level 1. The hob will switch off after 30 min. if you don't exit
the pause mode.
