Fault table
If you are uncertain about whether your appliance is functioning properly, this does not
automatically mean there is a defect. Make sure to check the points mentioned below in the

Problems with the hob
The display light up when the
hob is activated for the first
time.
The fan runs on for several
minutes after the hob has
been switched Off.
A slight smell is noticeable
the first few times the hob
is used.
The pans make a noise while
cooking.
You have switched on
a cooking zone, but the
display shows u.
A cooking zone suddenly
stops working and you hear
a signal.
The hob is not working
and nothing appears in
the display.
A fuse blows as soon as the
hob is switched on.
'L' appears in the display.
Error code E1.

Possible cause
This is the standard
set-up routine.
The hob is cooling.
The new appliance is
heating up.
This is caused by the energy
flowing from the hob to the
saucepan.
The pan you are using is
not suitable for induction
cooking, or has a to small
diameter.
The preset time has ended.
There is no power supply
due to a defective cable or
a faulty connection.
The hob has been wrongly
connected.
Child safety lock is activated.
Incorrect operation of the
cooling fan.
Solution
Normal operation.
Normal operation.
This is normal and will
disappear once it has been
used a few times. Ventilate
the kitchen.
At high settings this is
perfectly normal for some
pans. It will not damage either
the pans or the hob.
Use a suitable pan.
Touch the minus (-) or plus (+)
key to stop the alarm.
Check the fuses or the electric
switch (if there is no plug).
Contact a professional
installer.
Switch off the child safety
lock.
Air exhaust blocked, for
example by paper, or fan
defective. Contact the service
department.
