4. First steps - Activating the remote control
Note: Charging the remote control
• Fully charge the remote control before using it for the first
time.
• To do this, place the remote control in a well-lit place.
Alternatively, you can also charge the remote control using
a suitable USB-C charging cable. To do this, connect
a USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port (22) on the
remote control. Connect the other end of the cable to a
suitable USB-C charger (Minimum requirement for the
5V/150mA charger). Please also consult the operating
instructions for the charger you are using. While the
remote control is being charged via a charging cable, the
status LED (20) lights up green. Once fully charged, the
LED goes out.
Note: Code memory
All codes and settings are retained if the remote control
runs out of power, e.g. if it is stored in a drawer for a longer
period of time
Note: Energy saving function
The remote control switches itself off automatically if a
button is pressed for longer than 15 seconds. This reduces
energy consumption if the remote control is stuck in a place
where the buttons are permanently pressed, e.g. between
sofa cushions.
5. Setup
Note: Setup
• Most Samsung TVs can already be controlled via IR when
delivered.
• For full Smart Control functionality, the remote control
must be connected to your TV set via Bluetooth.

5.2 Connecting the Bluetooth remote control to your
Smart TV
1. Switch on your Smart TV.
2. Please remove the batteries from your original Bluetooth
remote control.
3. Point your new remote control at your Smart TV. The
distance should be max. 2m.
4. Press and hold the "Back (3) " and "Play/Pause (13)
" buttons for seconds. After a few seconds, the TV will
connect to the remote control.
5. As soon as the two devices are connected, the
replacement remote control will transmit commands to the
Smart TV via Bluetooth. Previously learnt commands are
deleted.
