b) Mounting the drive motor
• First screw the brushless motor (1), according to the
figure, onto the motor mount (2) included in the deliv-
ery.
Do not tighten the screws firmly yet in order to be able
to adjust the tooth backlash afterwards.
• Install the motor pinion (3) included in the delivery and
likewise tighten the latter slightly.
• Push the motor from the front into the mechanics and
adjust the motor mount according to the boreholes in
the chassis.
The connecting cables of the motor (1) must point back-
wards in the direction of flight.
• Now you can screw the motor mount to the chassis.
In order to enlarge the supporting surface of the hold-
ing screws (2), additional aluminium sleeves (3) are
used.
Before screwing in the screws, apply some medium
strength screw retention lacquer on the threads.
• Position the motor pinion at the necessary height and
screw it tightly onto the motor shaft.
• Then adjust the tooth backlash with a small paper strip
and finally screw the motor and the motor mount tightly.
