which the search is activated present in that part
of the wall. Due to an air-gap inside the wall
(or) other similar issue not, not all full bars are
observed and no beep sounds. In this case, scan
by moving fast one (or) more time(s). All full bars
will be observed and beep sounds during fast
movement scanning at that particular location
to confirm the presence of the searched object.
There are three sensitivity levels (I, II, III) of AC
power line search. It can be adjusted using AC
Sens slide switch
. I is the lowest sensitivity
3
level, II is the middle sensitivity level, III is the
highest sensitivity level. In the case of power line
unable to be detected in level I, switch to II or III
to get the higher sensitivity level and to perform
the detection again.
Note: These sensitivity levels are applied in AC
power line search mode only.
Tips on measurement
The PUSH button
must remain pressed
6
during the entire search process (calibration
and search).
If you calibrate too closely to the object or di-
rectly on the object, the calibration can fail. If
the calibration fails, the LC display shows the
full intensity (Fig. C) and a long beeping tone
sounds or can't search any object in the wall.
Move and hold the product several centimeters
further to the right or left of the previous surface
and recalibrate. Start the search process.
Repeat several times to ensure the detection
accuracy.
Incorrect measurements can occur depending on
the nature of the examined wall. Check therefore
before every measurement the position of a
known wooden or metal beam, of a known void
