Note:
• When the appliance is on, only the stand-by button functions. The other buttons do not function.
• When sabbath mode is on and the oven door is opened or closed, the oven light will not function.
BACKLIGHT
The control panel and display are fitted with a backlight.
1. After switching on, the background lighting is on behind all buttons. After 1 second the lighting dims to half-lighting.
2. If there is no activity after 5 minutes in stand-by mode, the lighting in the display continues to dim. After 10 minutes the
stand-by button goes to half-lighting and the lighting in the other buttons goes off. Press the stand-by button to activate
the lighting of the control panel and the display.
3. When you press a button the lighting becomes brighter. After you release the button, the button will dim after 1.5 seconds.
4. Press the function button and the lighting will fully light up after opening function selection (set, active, pause) with half-
lighting when closing the relative function. In sabbath mode the brightness of the lighting of the function button is low.

CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
Warning:
Before cleaning the appliance, check that it is switched off and cooled down.
Do not clean the appliance with a high-pressure cleaner or steam cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp scrapers.
Note:
You can remove the guide racks to make cleaning the interior easier.
See section Removing the guide racks and Removing the door.
1. Clean the interior of the appliance after each use. Use a damp cloth.
2. In case of serious contamination, clean the interior of the appliance with warm water and a mild cleaning agent.
After cleaning, thoroughly rinse the interior and wipe dry.
Note:
Leave the door open a little so the appliance can fully dry.
3. Clean the accessories. Use warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Dry the accessories after cleaning.
4. Clean the exterior of the appliance. Use a damp cloth or sponge.
5. In case of serious contamination, clean the exterior of the appliance with and a mild cleaning agent.
Note:
The cover of the door can become discoloured, or the glass on the inside of the door can become dirty.
You can remove the cover for thorough cleaning. See section Removing the door cover.
6. Clean the cover of the door and the glass on the inside of the door as required. Use warm water and a mild cleaning agent.
Dry the cover after cleaning.
REMOVING THE GUIDE RACKS.
1. Pull the guide rack (A) out of the opening on the front of the appliance.
2. Pull the guide rack out of the opening on the rear of the appliance.
3. Remove the guide racks.
4. After cleaning, place back the guide racks.
