Switching on and power setting
Switching on
1. Place a pan on a cooking zone.
2. Press t he
button.
A single beep will be heard.
3. Press the on-/off button
A fl ashing '-' appears on the display and a single beep can be
heard. If you do not undertake any further action, the cooking zone
automatically switches off after 10 seconds.
4. Slide with your fi nger over the slide control (clockwise) or tap
with your fi nger on the slide control to set the desired setting.
Th e hob automatically starts in the set setting (if a pan is detected).
Setting the power
Set a higher or lower power by sliding with your fi nger over the slide
control or by tapping on the slide control. Th e power can be set in
12 diff erent settings. Next to that there's the 'boost' setting (refer to
page 16).
Pan detection
If the hob doesn't detect a(n) (iron-containing) pan after a cooking
power has been set, the display will continue to fl ash and the cooking
area remains cold. When no (iron-containing) pan is placed within
one minute, the cooking zone will switch off automatically (also refer
to pages 13 and 14; "Pans").
Residual heat indicator
Th e used zone can remain warm for several minutes after having been
used intensively. An "H" remains on the display as long as the cooking
zone is hot.
