FRONT PANEL FUNCTIONS

1. POWER SWITCH
Turns the amp on and o .
2. STANDBY
The standby switch is used in conjunction with the
power switch to warm up the amplifier before use.
Always turn the power on for two minutes before
switching the standby switch to the ON position.
The standby switch should be set to the OFF position
during breaks in performances instead of leaving the
amp on full power.
3. INDICATOR
The power indicator will light when the amp's mains
power is switched on.

4. PRESENCE
Adjusts the high frequencies of the power amp.
Increasing the high frequencies adds more bite to your
sound.
5. BASS
Adjusts the low frequencies of the pre-amp. It will add
bottom end and depth to your sound.
6. MIDDLE
Adjusts the mid frequencies of the pre-amp, giving you
anything from scooped mids to a fat and full sound.
7. TREBLE
Adjust the upper frequencies of the pre-amp. Your tone
will get brighter as it is turned up.
8. HIGH TREBLE - VOLUME I
Controls the overall level of channel 1. This channel is
voiced for a higher treble response than channel 2.

9. NORMAL - VOLUME II
Controls the overall output level of channel 2. Channel
2 is voiced for normal response and has a more
rounded tone than channel 1.
10. INPUTS
I: Connects the guitar to channel 1.
II (top): Connects the guitar to channel 2.
II (bottom): Connects the guitar to the lower sensitivity
input on channel 2.
11. MASTER VOLUME
This amp behaves like a standard 1959 when this is
set fully clockwise; turning this anticlockwise allows
the amp to be driven into distortion at lower volume
levels.

12. BRIGHT SWITCH
When this is switched ON, the bright capacitor in the
high treble channel is active and the amp behaves like
a standard Marshall 1959. Switching this OFF allows
for a fuller sound on the high treble channel.
13. CLIP SWITCH
Additional pre-amp distortion is available when
switched ON – this allows the amp to be driven
into distortion at even lower settings of the master
volume. When switched OFF, no additional distortion is
introduced.
14. CLIP MODE
With the CLIP SWITCH positioned ON, this control sets
the type of clipping.
When switched to the left position (I), the amp's
overdrive is tighter and more compressed. When
switched to the right position (II), the overdrive is more
open and dynamic.
