Maintain the chain lubrication
Before starting work, check the oil
level and the function of the chain
lubrication.
NOTICE! If the chainsaw is used with
too little oil, the cutting performance
and lifespan of the saw chain will de-
crease as the saw chain will become
blunt more quickly. You can recognise
insufficient oil by the smoke develop-
ment or discolouration of the blade
bar. Make sure that there is always
oil flowing onto the chain.
Adjusting the oil flow (Fig. B)
Turn the oil regulating screw (22) on
the underside using a slotted screw-
driver.
• ⭯ : Increase oil flow
• ⭮ : Decrease oil flow
Cleaning the oil passage (Fig. C)
Clean the oil passage regularly to en-
sure fault-free, automatic oiling of the
saw chain during operation.

2. Remove any residues and dirt in
the oil passage (26) using a brush
or cloth.
3. If cleaning the oil passage is un-

Cleaning the air filter
 CAUTION! Never run the device
without an air filter. Dust and dirt may
otherwise enter the engine and cause
damage to the machine. Keep the air
filter clean.
Procedure (Fig. M)
1. Switch off the engine and let the
device cool down.
2. Loosen the wing nut (29).
3. Take off the air filter cover (30).
4. Remove the air filter (31).
5. Clean the air filter (31) with water
and allow it to air dry. Never use
petrol for cleaning!
NOTICE! Replace the air filter (31)
if it is worn, damaged or dirty
(Spare parts and accessories,
p. 60).
6. Put the air filter (31) back in.
7. Put the air filter cover (30) back on.
8. Fix the air filter cover again with
the wing nut (29).
