Storage
• Clean the device prior to storage.
• Attach the encasing (16).
56
• The combination wrench (17) can
be stowed in the encasing (16) for
storage (Fig. A).
• Empty the oil tank prior to longer
periods of non-use. Dispose of
waste oil environmentally correctly
(Disposal/environmental protection,
p. 58).
There may still be oil residues
within hoses and in the device
that could leak out during stor-
age. Place the device on a suitable
base/oil pan for storage.
• Store the device in a dry and dust-
proof location and out of reach of
children.
Storage when not in operation
 CAUTION! Fuel residues in the
carburettor can cause starting prob-
lems or permanent damage to the
device.
For operational breaks of up to 3
months
1. Drain the fuel tank in a well-ventil-
ated place.
2. Start the engine, allowing it to idle
until the engine stops and the car-
burettor is free of fuel.
3. Let the engine cool off (about 5
minutes).
Further actions for operational
breaks of more than 3 months
1. Remove the spark plug (33) with
the combination tool (17) (Check-
ing/adjusting/replacing spark plug,
p. 52).
2. Fill a teaspoon with pure two-
stroke oil into the combustion
chamber.
3. Pull the starter cable slowly sever-
al times to distribute the oil inside
the engine.
4. Put the spark plug (33) back in.
