7. After use
CAUTION
6
After cycling, do not touch the disc brakes of the e-bike with your hands or legs without
protection. Friction when applying the brakes can cause the brake discs to reach very high
temperatures.
NOTICE
• Use at least two locks to prevent theft.
• Do not leave the bike key in the lock to prevent theft.
• Remove any loose parts to prevent theft.
• When parked for longer periods, remove the battery from the e-bike to prevent theft.
• To ensure that others cannot remove the on-board computer, remove it from the holder when
parked for longer periods.
• With the Kiox "lock" system, you can prevent others from using the bike once you have
removed the on-board computer. You can read more about this at www.dutch-id.nl or scan
the QR code on the inside of the cover of this manual.
• To increase the probability of finding your e-bike if it is lost or stolen, we offer the opportunity
to purchase a GPS accessory. You can read more about this at www.dutch-id.nl or scan the
QR code on the back of this manual.
• Use the Dutch ID cover accessory to reduce the visibility of your bike. You can read more
about this at www.dutch-id.nl or scan the QR code on the back of this manual.
7.1. Lock – operation
When you have finished cycling or take a break, we strongly recommend locking the e-bike. The
e-bike has two locks: a ring lock on the frame next to the rear wheel and a lock on the battery
holder. Both locks use the same key.
1. Place the e-bike on the stand a.
2. Turn the bike key clockwise and hold it in this position.
3. Press the lock lever on the other side of the ring lock 9 downwards until it cannot move any
further and falls into the lock.
4. Remove the key from the lock.
Optional: Remove the battery k by following the steps in chapter 4.4.
If you lose the bike key and only have the spare key, have a copy made as soon as possible so
4
you have two keys again. If you lose both keys, contact Dutch ID.
