• Never leave the bike unattended on its stand when using a child seat. For example, uneven
ground or strong wind may cause the bike to tip over, possibly resulting in serious injury.
• When fitting or adjusting the saddle, two bolts must be tightened to secure the saddle.
- If a bolt is tightened tighter than specified, there is a risk of overtightening. This could cause
the bolt to break in case of prolonged heavy loading while cycling.
- If a bolt is too loose, the saddle may shift in the rails. This could also cause a leverage effect,
which could break the bolts or parts on the saddle or clamp. This can lead to dangerous
situations. The specified tightening torque can be found on the seatpost and all bicycle
tightening torques can be found in Appendix 2 of this manual. Check once a month to make
sure the saddle is tight, but do not tighten harder than prescribed. If you do not have a
torque wrench, have your dealer check the saddle fastener at every service.
CAUTION

• Before each journey, check that:
- the bell and lighting operate correctly and are firmly attached.
- the brakes operate correctly.
- the brake levers are adjusted correctly. If you can squeeze the lever all the way to the
handgrip, there is air or a leak in the brake line. Do not use the e-bike and have the brake
line bled or repaired by an approved e-bike specialist.
- the tyres and rims are free of damage and the wheels can turn unimpeded.
- the tyres are pumped to the correct pressure. Insufficient tyre pressures lead to more rapid
tyre wear, reduced grip and higher energy consumption of the e-bike system.
- there is no sharp debris in the treads of the tyres that may puncture the tyres.
- the front fork suspension operates correctly and the front fork is firmly attached.
- all bolts, nuts and quick releases are tight.
- there are no deformations, cracks or damage in the frame or front fork.
- the stem and handlebars are correctly and firmly attached and the handlebars are at the
correct height and angle.
- the seatpost and saddle are correctly and firmly attached and the saddle is at the correct
height and angle. Consult chapter 4.8 to adjust your e-bike.
• The above checks should also be carried out after a collision/crash. Do not use the e-bike if a
part no longer functions correctly or is broken/deformed.
• Using the control unit with Bluetooth® may cause malfunctions in other devices and
installations, aircraft and medical devices (e.g. pacemakers, hearing aids).
• Accidental activation of the e-bike system may result in injury.
• The gearing system is carefully adjusted before delivery. The gearing system may only be
maintained by a qualified e-bike specialist. Do not turn the gear adjustment screws yourself
and do not modify the gear hub.
• Never park the e-bike on a slope with the front facing downhill. The e-bike may fall over, as
the stand cannot hold the weight of the e-bike.
• A loose saddle can move at unexpected moments and lead to hazardous situations or
accidents. Always make sure you have sufficiently tightened the saddle clamp and that the
saddle cannot make any unexpected movements.
