2.8. ABS (anti-lock braking system)
The information in this section is only applicable to versions with ABS.

The eBike ABS from Bosch improves braking performance efficiently and safely. The wheel speed
sensors on both wheels detect when the brakes lock, and the braking force is automatically
adjusted using software and control. The ABS reduces the risk of falls on slippery surfaces.
NOTICE
The Bosch eBike ABS cannot be retrofitted.

2.8.1.
ABS indicator
The ABS indicator shows whether an error has occurred in the ABS system (ABS indicator lights
up) or whether the ABS is operational (ABS indicator is off). At the beginning of each ride with
the eBike, the ABS indicator lights up briefly.
The ABS indicator will turn off once the bicycle reaches a speed of 5 km/h, indicating that the
ABS system is active.
CAUTION

Before a ride with the eBike, always check whether the ABS is active by means of the ABS
indicator on the onboard computer and the display.
